I tuned I because I love and admire Eva Longoria. I cheered, I felt shame for how some people behaved, I laughed and I cried. You do not have to be of Latino heritage to relate and enjoy this film. It’s feel good like Rocky, but based on a real families experience. I knew nothing about this families story until the movie. It exceeded all my expectations and then some. It is a familiar theme that every immigrant family can relate to regardless of where you came from. Since that is practically the entire population of the United States, that should be all of us. Sadly, too many people have forgotten the American promise.
