I enjoyed this and found it very interesting.
I read through reviews before watching it and found a comment made by someone about the supposed discrepancy of the cotton picking and how the cotton gin was invented so alluded some info on this was wrong?
I am guessing this same person doesn’t know although this invention made cotton processing less labor-intensive, it helped planters earn greater profits, causing them to grow much larger crops, hence needing more people…increasing slavery since it was the cheapest form of labor. The cotton gin did not decrease the number of slaves, but did just the opposite. 🤷🏽♀️
