Assalam o alaikum,
I started reading this book because of it’s popularity.
Before giving my opinion I must say that I belong to no section( no-firqa). My family belongs to ahl-e-sunnat so was I, just because I didn’t know my religion back then. But now Alhamdulillah i’m just a muslim believe in whatever i learn from Quran and ahadees.
In my honest opinion, I found it a pretty good book but I noticed One thing which i didn’t like about the author. He was very biased towards hazrat Ali. I haven’t finished the book yet …..but i read 300 pages which is 53% of the book and i realised that the author was pro- anti-shia……. he tried very hard to suppress hmthe role of Hazrat Ali in prophet’s life. We all know how much prominent character hazrat Ali was in prophet’s whole life. But the author mentioned him 2 to 3 times at max in 300 pages …..and those mentions were necessary bcoz those were the moments which couldn’t be suppressed…..but if I were a non-muslim and didn’t know about islam and sahaba ….and this was my first book then i wouldn’t even know about hazrat Ali after reading this book . Even the farthest and minority characters were discussed more than hazrat Ali. Except that i guess it’s a good book but not a mature and legit one.
I’m sorry if anyone gets hurt by my review, but I said what i felt and observed.
