Honestly one of the best movies Iโve ever seen. Itโs not fast paced, but itโs not slow. Every scene builds into the next or the overall plot. Takes time to explore the characters like few movies do. I love that as viewers, we get to see the protagonist (Al Pacino) and Antagonist (Robert DiNero) sit down and have a conversation with each other. One of the most effective techniques to build tension in film and writing, and it was felt here. Similar to, but better than: Sicario, Den of Theives, major inspiration for The Town (which I believe is also better than the other two, but not as good as Heat, only because it doesnโt explore the worlds of the characters as much as Heat does). You really feel like you get to know them, they are so well developed.
This is the ultimate cops and robbers movie and I highly recommend it.
