This movie is an apt sequel to the first one, in more ways than one it completes the story of the first one. The movie is little depressing and at times, difficult to sit through but the acting of Joaquin Phoenix hooks you up from the get-go, Lady Gaga is great as Lee, many people felt the songs abrupt but I liked how they were placed and how they move the story forward. <SPOILER AHEAD> Everyone projected their internal anarchy onto the Joker, but poor Arthur couldn't bear the burden; he just wanted a normal life, yet society denied him one, and he finally succumbed to the legend of the Joker.
