After endgame, I was not so sure about or rather keen on watching any other MCU movie for some time let alone in a span of less than 2 months. Might have been because of the emotional investment over the last decade in the now fallen heroes. And truth be told, I didn't feel any such connection with Tom Holland as Spider Man as I did with RDJ as Tony or Chris Evans as Captain America. Don't get me wrong here ... He is a mighty fine actor due to his theatrical background and his natural abilities but for some reason I wasn't feeling it. Now I know why .. coz before Far From Home, I haven't seen him standing alone and carry an arc ( read, being an avenger) as others before him did at some point or the other in the MCU for a considerable amount of time. In homecoming, Tony was there to help in some ways. In the last two avenger movies .. well he couldn't have been the focal point. But after watching this one, boy oh boy, this kid can definitely carry a movie. And not just carry .. if post watching a movie, any character makes you feel for them from start to finish, you know they have arrived. And he well and truly has. It's good to see Marvel finishing Phase - 3 on such a high. And this Spider Man well and truly looks capable of taking the legacy of Iron man forward.
Watch out for a stoicly funny Sam Jackson and a really interesting performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. If I say more about him, I might spoil the movie.
This is where we part ways and I tell you .. go watch it. It's total fun.
