I still play it to this day. I actually started with Descent 2 and then played Descent 1. In my opinion it's a much better game then D2. Although the weapons system is better in D2, I find that D1 has better game play. The maps are more intricate, bigger and aren't as easy to solve. The enemy bots are better designed and have better color schemes. The storyline is far more interesting compared to D2. Overall it's extremely fun and exciting to play. D2 has a special place in my heart as well. It's just as fun.
