A love letter to the serials of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, as well as old-fashioned saucers-in-the-sky and giant robots-in-the-streets science fiction, this film is an entertaining romp that sports a great cast and stylish yet retro special effects. Don't expect hard science (why would you), but do expect an entertaining, even thrilling, story from start to finish.
