The worst Star Trek series to date. The best? ... Next Generation. If you liked that, you will not like this -- too many protracted emotional scenes to show us who these people "really are, deep down" in their tortured hearts. I just barely made it through S2, and I am reading here that S3 is even more of what I don't like. And a good point made by another reviewer ... every episode is dominated by the main character, Michael. Previous ST series got the whole crew involved consistently. But I can't end this without mentioning the absolute worst, most annoying, most ridiculous character in ST history ... Ensign Tilly. I'm not sure what demographic she is aimed at ... 7th grade girls? ... but I eventually had to have my cursor ready to click/jump every time her face showed up. The stupidity of the dialog spewing from her mouth was unbearable for me.
