This game is total dog water. Boring combat style where you just L1 and R1 and nothing else. No character development or progression. A skill tree is there, cool. But can I make my guy look different? Give him different armor? Different weapons to try? Cool abilities to unlock. Nope. All I get to do is stomp on a spear halfway through the game and that's my peak excitement. I remember my first ever FromSoft experience (Dark Souls 3). I got to Gundyr and thought "what the hell, what is going on, what is this???" And I was hooked. The difficulty and game mechanics and fighting and big weird enemies with cool second phases and challenging but fair level designs hooked me. I didn't stop until I finished the game. Then bought the DLC. Then play Dark Souls 1, 2, and Bloodborne. I tried Sekiro in there and didn't get the same feeling. Was very let down. I thought the combat system was very bland and repetitive (even more than traditional Dark Souls dodge roll spam). I didn't like the level designs and the sneak element is cool until you spend a long time being a cool ninja then die and have to start all over. If I wanted to sneak I'd go play Assassin's Creed. Plus we have all these super Sekiro fanboys who I'm worried might hunt me down and try to kill me for hating their prized possession. I'd rather play the new Madden every year then play this boring excuse of a game. I'd rather try to run Cyberpunk on my Mac Book Pro with ray tracing on max than turn this garbage pile of a game on ever again. The Ringer by Eminem 1:42 - 1:57...just change the last part with "play Sekiro"...
