Where do I even begin? To start why is his name chum? I don’t care if despicable me is THAT popular, you didn’t have to ruin one of my favorite characters by changing his name to “chum”. Megamind himself is an absolute bafoon, who shouldn’t be compared to the genius that made a death ray from the concentrated power of the sun and now cannot get a toaster to work. Don’t even get me started with the arcs, they completely ripped off Megamind and minion’s arcs from the first movie and now Roxanne hates her job? Finally the new characters, the kid who’s whole deal is “I’m generation alpha and am tech savvy” or the villains who decide that after Megamind “takes over the city” that they break out of prison. If these were villains that Megamind actually worked with, why weren’t they in the first movie with minion? This wasn’t even made by Dreamworks it was made by their TV company which made the horribly animated shows, A movie that I once thought was one of the best animated films in the 2010s has now have its legacy ruined by this travesty of a fictional movie that could not have been watched by the creators of the first movie. I only watched this with my friends to see who could last the longest and they would get money. Unless you hate yourself, avoid this I don’t even know what to call it.
