Frontiers is pretty solid in writing, but the open world style of game doesn't work for Sonic. The cyber space levels are the best part of the game and they're so short that they probably take up to less than 20% of the game. I just want an actual 3d Sonic platformer, not a game that tries to get in on the fad of open world games because BotW and TotK are doing well.
