This is one of the worst sci-fi adaptations I've ever seen. Missed out a lot of the scientific intrigue of the books and made the characters unbelievably bland and unrelatable. It also contains a lot of racist Hollywood tropes. Do not recommend, better to watch the Chinese tencent remake.
