Pure masterclass! This is probably the one time a Facebook targeted ad worked up it's magic 🪄
After Season 1, I binged the entirety of Season 2 in one night. The plot twist are unbecoming and unpredictable to tell an intricately weaved story unlike anything I have seen in Emmy award winning shows let alone from South Asia.
Solid acting across the board, I was bewildered (in a good way) to see how far Bangladeshi TV (natok) has elevated itself since I had left its shores in 2011. Even the camera shots, framing, placing of Easter Eggs was a refreshing take, better so from the motherland 🇧🇩
I also appreciated the fact on how they could come to a conclusion. Far too often, TV shows that start off strong come to a disappointing end due to the story being stretched. Kudos to Ashfaque Nipun, for an amazing piece of art, one that will set the tone for Bangladeshi TV for generations to come. I for one, am a proponent of shows that start and end on a high, becoming epics that we recount fondly. In that regards, I would say it is up there with the likes of Breaking Bad & Succession, and that is an impeccable standard in my books at least!
I think this show singlehandedly makes it worth to subscribe to Hoichoi. I am going to dabble furthermore into its catalog of shows and movies, and if you haven't watched it yet, what are you waiting for?!
