Castle Impossible is a welcome alternative to standard-fare "reality TV" available today. Fronted by two very likable, warm, and engaging leads, I find the show kind of magical. Daphne and Ian appear to have a deep, loving connection that helps them endure the many challenges of renovating that amazing chateau, and the more I watch the episodes the more I consider them people who, if I knew them, I would be fast friends with.
The renovations made are stunning. Personal, but both practical and whimsical in their own right. There is an appreciation for the history of the chateau, but with a clear understanding that form and function matter. That they've done so much work themselves is a testament not only to their skills, but their sense of creative design, which I very much appreciate.
I look forward to every episode. I am grateful for a show with a real story to connect with, no villains, and plenty of content for those of us who really enjoy both design and renovation. Well done!
