Pretty good game overall. I'd give it an 8.5 out 10. It's well worth playing, but doesn't entirely recapture the feelings Origins gave. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story, the gameplay, and the vast maps for exploration. Establishing bases and having your main hub was pretty cool as well. This game also delivers on a lot of RPG aspects that prior games did not have. One example is the ability to craft weapons or armor and even tint it which is something I always enjoy. The music is good and I really enjoy all the side characters and old favorites showing up.
As for its shortcomings, they're more of a personal gripe of mine and aren't that big of a deal compared to the entirety of the game. I felt a lot of side quests were repetitive and a bit boring (fetch quests mainly). I also found myself not caring for some of my companions and usually only ran half of them. My only other complaint is I felt like the romance options were a bit limited (especially for male characters). Only one female companion is romanceable for male inquisitors (Cassandra). Your other options are the ambassador or to pursue Iron Bull or Dorian in a gay relationship. While that's not a big deal, I did find myself yearning for a Merrill or Morrigan like romance.
