I am doing research on gemstones and the beliefs associated with each, health, folklore, etc. Pages 17 to 22 contain the usual common gemstone knowledge available on the internet; the rest of the book is pliers, beading wire, layout of necklaces and earrings, instructions. This is a bead jewelry making book, not a gemstone book. Some of the photos are fuzzy, the projects could be done by an adolescent easily since they are assembly of purchased beads and components, not metalworking or glass or resin molding.
