I watched it twice. The way the story develops, the many meaningful characters, the brilliance of the cinematography, and the distinctive use of red were all masterful. I think his talentโboth as the writer of this story and as an actorโis truly extraordinary. However at the greatest climax, the confession on stage, I honestly felt completely at a loss, just like the audience there, even though I had been following his life. As his confession revealed, he mistreated himself in pursuit of what seemed like an illusory chance, and he failed to act rightly. And afterwards, his life remained entirely derailed.
In fact, the very fact that he kept living in his ex-girlfriendโs home, relying on others for support, already showed a deep-rooted dependence and a narcissistic streak in his nature. That said, we cannot always take the โrightโ actions or think in the โrightโ ways that dramas, films, or school lessons teach us. Returning to someone even after being raped, still trying to possess that person, being unable to face someone who truly loves youโthese are struggles many people carry within themselves.
