*I’m trying not to give too many spoilers*
I felt like it was a 6.5 out of 10. I am a HUGE fan of the 28 Days and 28 Weeks but this film was different. Less zombies, IMO. Only 2-3 jump scares which I’m fine with because I don’t like them. I almost felt like this movie would have been better on its own without being tied to the name of the 28 Days franchise.
I felt that it wasn’t like the other 2 films. On one hand, I felt it was more artistic (some scenes were beautiful) than the other 2 films especially the part with the Doctor. On the other hand, the ending was very left field for me. There was no background really about that group. However, I guess if it was the end of the world, it makes sense that with no rules, weird groups would come out of no where and make their own rules. I did like how some parts show how everyone has “progressed“ after 28 years.
It just felt like the movie was everywhere. Like someone had 10 random ideas and said “let’s put them on paper and throw them in any order”. But maybe that would happen at the end of the world, I guess?
A lot of people didn’t care for the kid, Spike, but I understood why he did what he did, after all he was 12. I have to agree with some reviewers that some characters needed more development. Some things didn’t make sense so I have to agree with some commenters.
I would wait till this comes out at home and then a few months later. I don’t think it should be tied to the other parts of the franchise.
