A very slow burn. I enjoyed the book but the series was very disappointing. The series puts English audio over Polish acting but that's not the worst part... it actually makes very little sense. The Polish names are very confusing and hard to keep up with as they all sound similar.
SPOILER!!
So, five people go into the woods. Only three leave the woods. One of these goes into hiding for 25 years for no apparent reason. One changes his name and his body turns up present day. (Hes been killed by the old camp leader but we're never told why?) The other one is sent to prison. (Creepy guy)
There's skeletal remains found in the woods that turn out to be the prosecutors missing mother...
It's just all a bit 'thrown together' and I'm not sure if the screenwriter even read the book at all.
The only saving grace in this series is the prosecutor, the lead actor, who played his part brilliantly. It's just a shame he had to act in this rotten tomato.
