I love, love, love this movie! This movie is great for christian baby boomers! Pam Grier, Florence Henderson and Donna Mills are the 3 ladies of the house.
It's great story line about friendship between 3 ladies, their marriages, and falling in love with a house they get to rebuild with their own hands. The home was donated to their church and the pastor needs a quick refurbish so it can be sold to fund the children's program.
Despite their obstacles, the 3 ladies fall in love with the house, and each other. Their plights for marriage after retirement were enlightening, and husbands underfoot was where they learned, it was time to fall in love again. Actor Lance Henrikson's acting as a man in love was superb. He was in love with life and in love with his wife.
When one of the husbands passes away, 2 of the 3 ladies learn what their friend has always known...Pam Grier learns how to recognize when you have a great love...one that can last a lifetime. The other ladies are also learning when to let go.
Junior Sebastian as the biker next door neighbor to the rescue brought charm to building a very much neglected home in his neighborhood. His bond with the 3 ladies became a precious part of the ambiance of the neighborhood. And their collective love for this house was endearing.
I collect modern day classics. As a baby boomer, this movie has become a classic among my collection.
