I did not enjoy this book at all. I found it to be very self indulgent and exploitative of Rayyas’ struggles. While there are types of incidents that most of us can relate to, I didn’t find her account of these instances relatable. I have been a fan of her and some of her past works, but this doesn’t feel as authentic to me. It feels forced and wanting accolades for her self discovery at the expense of others.
