In the year 2552 insurrectionist on a plant light years from earth still have ak47's and a 2003 Chevy suburban. Need I say more? Okay well the cgi is high quality but completely un realistic looking (witch is why everyone has been calling it bad), characters well established in a hugely popular franchise are randomly 25 years younger just to attempt to throw un necessary "eye candy" in, and entire character personalities/motives are augmented to turn this into a drama series. They have tried 4 times before to bring halo to a cinematic medium and have horrifically failed every time. The reasons everyone has pointed out to be the cause of their failure was deviating from the source material and a low budget. What did they learn from those 4? Nothing. This is a universe that has the capability to be a contender ( not win but contend) with marvel but they just can't seem to figure it out. The story has already been written, the aesthetic has already been established, the music has already been composed, performed and recorded countless times, and the sound design can literally be copy pasted in. Yet here we are with whatever this is.
