I watched this movie years ago, I think it was the first movie that I saw Jake Gyllenhaal in, and it's still my favorite one of his movies. It's so funny and sweet. You just end up feeling good watching it and end the movie feeling incredibly happy.

This movie was hilarious! So much better than the first. There were quite a few scenes that I couldn't stop laughing. Loved that most of the characters that were Canadian were actually played by Canadians. Definite must see.

This movie has always been one of my favorite horror movies. Very low budget, but that doesn't take away from the horror of this movie. The voices and noises of this movie is one of the things that makes this so scary. Did a great job with makeup (for a classic). If you like gore and horror and haven't seen this, you need to.

I don't understand why people loved this movie so much. Maybe it was because I just watched Endgame and felt 3 hours fly by, riveted, while I sat watching Aquaman wondering when it would end...The special effects seemed over the top and cheesy. The acting was decent, Jason Momoa was good and he did well with what was there, but I just didn't enjoy it. Even my son (who really wanted to see this, and loves superhero movies) left partway through because he felt it was boring and cheesy (and he's sat through longer movies without problems, he's 13). James Wan has done some of our favorite movies and I was really excited for this, but it doesn't compare and to his others and I just found this boring.

I'm really surprised at all the bad reviews. This movie made you pay attention to it to keep track of what was going on. There were a few times I had to rewind it a few seconds to make sure I saw what I thought I did. This wasn't a regular gory horror movie, but it was definitely still a good one. I found myself constantly counting the characters on screen to see who was really there, to see if i could spot the fake. Interesting premise and enough likable characters that you wanted to continue watching.

I so wanted to like this movie. I wasn't a big fan of Godzilla 2014, it was ok not great, but loved Kong: Skull Island. I wanted to watch this since I really want to see the new Kong coming out in 2020, but it just seemed so slow and dragged. Some of the graphics are absolutely amazing (Mothra), but the dialogue almost bogs down the story. Too much over explaining, too much bouncing back and forth between each group, so it was hard to figure out what was going on. The good guys are talking, then switch to bad guys, then switch back to good guys, all having different conversations all at the same time, made it hard to stay focused on what was happening. Felt like it was trying to hard to have the "big" personal moments between characters and just kept missing the mark. It's not a bad movie, doesn't deserve a thumbs down, just doesn't deserve a thumbs up either.
