I'm late on this post, but in my opinion its was a well thought out adaptation. Someone maked it more appealing to younger generations that may have not had interest in Shakespeare in its original form otherwise.
At the end of the day it's still the original writings of Shakespeare just carried in what someone imagined it to look like.
For all the ppl that hate it, I question why? Is it bc you want to see a bunch of merry Men in tights and pointy fairy boots leaping and bounding around with fencing swords, well if that's the case that's how you see it resinating in your head and your welcome to make it into your own production.
