Overall, I liked this romantic drama, as I do most other K dramas and romantic comedy/dramas. The acting is almost always great.
There is one complaint, not just for this show but for most K romantic comedies and dramas and it's this. They seem to always have the lead couple break up at least once before the conclusion of the show(s). It takes 8-10 episodes, usually, to have the main couple finally get together and everyone is happy when it happens. But almost guaranteed, there will be a reason for one to (tearfully) break up with the other. Why?
In this show, our female lead breaks up with a guy who worshipped the ground she walked on, brought her flowers every day and did everything in his power to protect her. And why does she dump him? Because her 8 year old kid doesn't want her to share her love with anyone else. Oh. OK, no problem. And so she does. Although she no doubt liked him and felt comfortable with him, there's no way, in my opinion, that she would break up, crushing him, if she truly loved him.
But again, why do all these shows feel the necessity to have our main couples break up, knowing they will get back together for a happy ending? Just once I'd like to see a happy couple unite in the 3rd or 4th episode and stay together the rest of the series. Build a storyline around that scenario.
