Typical Netflix, choosing politics and agenda rather than ATLEAST putting some effort towards the story or original material. People don’t dislike it because of the attempts of woke elements, but rather ADD new things rather than replace. Don’t turn it to a politics fest, Anette was already an appreciated character beforehand and then you changed her race and background. ADD a new character as such and have her be a pinnacle member of the MC (who wasn’t focused on at all). It has nothing to do with race, look at my name, I’m brown/Asian asf, Isaac from the original castlevania series wasn’t the same as the game material but it was executed perfectly without the force fed of ideology. Shows are meant to be an escape from realism, don’t hire writers from marvel, dc and Disney. They turned a world about slaying vampires into a series of politics and racial changes, there’s a reason marvel fell off. Pathetic
