The game honestly left me disappointed.
Don’t get me started on the sideways mechanics that makes your players rush attacks missing 99% of the time, leaving you out of ki and your opponents casually sitting on the opposite end of the map powering up.
Furthermore, blast attacks also hit 1% of the time since your opponent can simply either block or move to the side.
Melee combos are easily blocked by AI but somehow they can string together massive combos and then hit with a deadly finisher.
Somehow also lowering the difficulty of the AI made the battles notably harder which made zero sense to me since I am an avid gamer.
If I knew then what I know now. I’d have wasted my money on something else.
The game feels rushed and isn’t as immersive as games such as Budokai Tenkaichi 3 from the early days. This game has ruined dragon ball for me thanks to wonky mechanics, impossible AI at times, very difficult special objectives for a “side story” which if you can’t achieve; the game is cut short. For example, Goku story for me ended at chapter 4 with majin buu. Not even kid buu. The game wants me to complete a special objective to carry on so that the end of the story can be reached where you’ll end at the tournament of power where a person gets to fight Jiren which I found out from YouTube videos.
The creators of dragon ball should have left the dark souls theme alone.
