A handful of poor/lazy writing jigsawed together with pure genuine genius, at times being clever, witty & on the edge with an equal balance for those with a higher IQ. The over use of big wig villians dying and then being revived, mostly by Professor Hugo Strange, to then dawn their true pursona and adapting long running characters into becoming some of Gotham's most notorious villians, ultimately being uncanon with the comics, resulting in poor taste, lack of respect and creativity would perhaps be Gotham's downfall. On the flip side the show also does express a lot of change and never really settles into a permanent groove thus giving the allusion that every new season is a different show and version. Mind-boggling but for the most part tho the underlining of every story peeks curiosity, enticing the viewer as they are pulled in closer wanting to see more or what happens next, to unravel the twists and mysteries that lay ahead. The acting is by far the best aspect of the show. Every last actor and actress brings their role to life hitting a home run with such character commitment, showcasing a high level of talent, devotion and dedication, proving that they were born to play their roles. Now if you take into consideration the fact that Gotham is supposed to be different and fresh, or for those who aren't into batman simply watch as a criminal justice show, then without a doubt this show is a must see. It's brilliance throughout every season just establishes why it should be recommended to all. Sure it's not 100% perfect but then again what show is? Two thumbs up and a must see if you ask me 😊
