After I watched this film several times, I read Katherine Center’s book, “Happiness for Beginners”. There was potential here to make a VERY popular rom-com, a big screen winner! Maybe the film-makers had only a tiny budget and that would explain why the screenplay was poor quality. This MUST be the reason the film is a sad shell of the lovely, fun, and interesting book.
