I was excited to read another Jodi Picoult novel, but The Book of Two Ways missed the mark by a long shot. Like many others have pointed out, there are a few things that make this a disappointing read.
1. Overly informational on Egyptology
2. Chronology was extremely confusing
3. Terrible and lazy ending
Other things that turned me off from this book: the dialogue felt like a cheesy soap drama, characters attempted to have depth but fell short, and Picoult’s attempt to include as many storylines at once.
Overall, a disappointing read from the author. The book probably could have been edited down to half the pages.
