Watch this series. Hang in there when it seems too dark. If you have family who suffer from manic-depression, you will recognize the pain.
This series is about the love a parent has for a child, and what that love can do.
It also opens up our eyes to how hard we make it in our society for DV victims and children affected by DV. We need to do better.
One part of this story that I related to was how much repetitive and often confusing paperwork is involved in getting any type of governmental assistance. I have a ton of education and still struggled with filling out everything week after week when my ex lost his job and we needed food assistance. It’s a wonder we got any help at all but even that small amount kept food on our table. For many years, every time I drove by that office in Seattle, I would say a quiet “Thank you for helping when we needed it!”
It’s also about writing. My passion. Can’t wait for next season!
