Hearing this book recommended on BBC 4, I was bitterly disappointed with the writing. A fairly weak story line with Very Strong language. It almost seemed like the ‘F’ word AND the ‘C’ word we’re going out of fashion. Can’t imagine why it would be short listed for anything other than foul language. Wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
