There are moments of excellent DEA riptive writing, but overall a very excessively long book….. the length doesn’t add to the writing. Entire characters and chapters seem to be concocted to result in the desired ending….. the literary crutches are many. Overall, an interesting story y about the depths of crime and depravity in India, and what it can do to the soul . The 2 main protagonists- sunny and ajay, remain poorly sketched out at the end, as do the 2 older wadia brothers….. Worth a read, but be warned- a bit long and tedious for the limited insight and reward at the end.
