While not the greatest film from Marvel it works as an entertaining introduction to Captain Marvel, The Skrulls and the one who will defeat Thanos himself, Goose the Cat! Sam Jackson and Brie Larson have some excellent chemistry and the cosmic/sci-fi elements in this movie are great. The film suffers from some wonky pacing in the first half and questionable editing during some of the action sequences. I attribute this to the Two indie directors of this movie who have never handled anything like this before. Once Carol unleashes her full power the film starts to reach its true potential as it soars to new heights never before seen in the MCU. I mean flaming mohawk super saiyn.... nuff said. Though I wish they would have better explained the extent of her powers. I am excited to see what the MCU does with these new characters in the future and I am very interested to see how the Russo Brothers utilize her in Avengers Endgame as I think her character will greatly benefit from their superior direction just as Ant-man, Captain America and Doctor Strange have. I also liked the fact that this is the first female superhero film where the heroine has more lines of dialog than her sidekick... ahem then again some people like it better when female superheros shut up and smile. ;) 7.8/10 Troll Tears
