I’m a lifelong Superman fan and was nervous to watch the new movie, but it was really awesome. It was definitely a James Gunn and DC movie with way over the top CGI, but it worked. Cornswet is an awesome Superman. The only thing that wasn’t cool was how country bumpkin he made Jonathan and Martha. They’ve always been solid-as-a-rock characters in all of the Superman movies and shows. They were mostly silly. The “wow he saved a life” moments felt a little forced, but it was still good. The other bad thing is that it suffers the same ending as the Avengers movies, which leaves you wondering where it’s headed next? 4.5 stars for sure!
