This script was already written long ago and should have been followed. Joseph was an older man. Probably a man who lost his wife but still had children, thus Jesus having brothers and sisters before his birth. Jesus probably had brothers and sisters after his birth as well. I do appreciate the story of the birth of Jesus, it should have been more accurate and not a Hollywood type of spin. I do not also believe for one moment, that the angels in heaven, under God's command, would have ever allowed any threat to Mary, either via Satan, or via any man.
