This movie's plot and message seemed to change several times. No character development. Terrible, just... Just terrible. The end of the film wraps up with the youngest daughter being happy that she's found a secret bunker that had the final episode of friends on it. While her family is trying to survive outside. While the brother mysteriously is the only one of 6 people that has been afflicted with radiation poisoning and it dying. And the one dad speaks about making it to the bunker, we never see if they do. The mum and Ruth are in the woods watching mushroom clouds in the distance, we never see if they make it to safety either. There was no conclusion, no ending. I feel like the Obamas made this movie just to be able to say a couple of "deep" sentiments about race and government? I literally have no idea what the message was. This movie has zero substance.
