Strider Adamus

Let me preface by saying that I have watched every episode of every season of star trek. As such I consider myself a huge nerd. AND I REALLY ENJOYED DISCOVERY. Now that said, I do have some thoughts. Season one was highly enjoyable but season two had some moments where it seemed like they were trying to hard to be a drama. I loved Pike and Spock, but star fleet is supposed to be disciplined and duty first yet at some moments the crew would stop to cry or talk about their feelings and even let the emotions get in the way of the mission. These scenes did bother me because they go against what Star Trek has always preached which is logic, discipline and setting preconceptions and emotions aside to see the big picture. That said, those things aside I found the series very enjoyable. Assuming the creators can get their act together and give us more characters like Pike and Reno. They will have made a life long fan. 7/10
