First King book I have read... Purchased at Gatwick before a holiday to Mexico. I struggled to put it down, absolutely enjoyed reading it.
I was eager for the story to get to the portal, but it did appear to drag, but once in Empis it was wonderful, but the ending seemed rushed.
Would have loved Charlie to have returned and maybe find he has a child from Eris, maybe a sequel?!?
