It has a few shortcomings, mostly things that could have been implemented better but the team clearly ran out of time or budget, or the execs made financial decisions. Aside from that, it is an amazing game. There is a whole galaxy to explore and some planets are absolutely gorgeous. The fauna you can find in them is also amazing. It can range from cute to cool to creepy to absolutely terrifying. It defeintiely offers more than plenty of opportunity to role play and become whomever you want to be in this world. From bounty hunter or space cowboy, to space police, to military op, to business exec, to assassin for hire, and of course space pirate. The crimson fleet was a bit of a disappointment. The pirates seem more like caricatures than actual criminals and that’s mostly the reason I am substracting one star from my rating. Still, I have about 300 hours invested in this game, so it clearly has a lot to offer.
