Despite the fact that we frequently watch movies about mid-air thrillers, I've never felt this kind of anxiety and edge-of-the-seat feeling. In the end, one would realize that the screenplay and editing are fantastic and they take the credit.
The Skyline 777 flight experiences severe turbulence as Vikrant attempts to land with the assistance of his co-pilot. It depicts the thrilling ride of a plane suspended in mid-air, 35000 feet above the ground, with 150 passengers onboard. Vikrant and Tanya are piloting the aircraft, having difficulty landing due to heavy rain and poor visibility. Captain Vikrant Khanna, played by Ajay, is a reckless pilot who is overconfident in his abilities viz., photographic memory. While all of this is going on, the passengers on the plane await their fate. However, a fateful incident changes it all.
Following that, audiences witness Amitabh Bachchan as Narayan Vedant, who is detail-oriented, on his quest to discover the truth about this flight and his tense encounter with Vikrant. The confrontations between Ajay, who is on trial for his erratic actions as the pilot, and Amitabh, who is an enquiring officer/interrogator, put us in a state of "wow". Amitabh's comments "everyone is capable of making a mistake. Accepting your mistakes, on the other hand, reflects your character" shows the intensity of the investigation touching on emotional factors.
When routines are broken, innovation occurs. Math (critical analysis) is essential to avert any risk, especially when "rules" could not define the "situations" beyond one's dispositions. The pilot goes above and beyond rules to save the lives of 150 even though he would not have landed in that situation had he heard his co-pilot that the plane be diverted to Bangalore. Anyways, Ajay has done an excellent job directing the film. Except for a few characteristics, his composed demeanour reflects all of the qualities that a Pilot should/can have: clarity of thought; situational fluency; out-of-box thinking; teamwork skills (don't forget - he took responsibility for bringing Gin into the crew cabin); decisiveness; quick responsiveness; ability to remain calm; leadership, and so on.
