It was awful. Not all the Reacher books have brilliant plots but this one felt like it was made up in the pub the night before. It was written in the first person, there was no build up of tension, no feeling of drama. I won’t rush out to buy the next book, will wait for a copy to appear in the charity shop and I don’t think that will be a long wait. Sorry but young Childs hasn’t got it.
