I've been watching Austin Abrams since his small appearances in Gangster Squad & The Kings of Summer just waiting until he gets his own starring role in a film. He's shown over the years to be a fantastic supporting character throughout films, but I really think he shines as the main star in this one alongside Lily.
Some moments alongside the dialogue given were a big dull, predictable and cringe but they both delivered it well. Haven't read the novel, so I really was quite surprised at the twist and Lily's characters background. A nice coming of age film in a time that's pretty scary for us all.
