Adults are acting like children in a play ground. it is dividing our country and it needs to stop. Grow up, your kids are watching! Stop taking shots at the people around you!! Stop the name calling and the moral righteousness. stop the power struggle, the need to be right. Why should one be able to clarify or reword comments made but not another? Stop jumping on band wagons when really maybe there is a teachable moment that is being presented for a reason. Stop assuming you know everyone’s heart or presume you know what “ they really meant”. Case in point that that when we try to destroy someone else, you usually go down with them. There is such thing as having conversations and disagreements. understanding that people come from all different walks of life. We experience different things as we go through life and this affects how we speak, how we approach, and even how we react. If you want to make the world a better place then extend grace during the most difficult moments. Set examples. Be the reason someone is coming together then driving them further apart. If you can’t come into the circle without anger and hatred...then stay in your corner and see how far that takes you. I work in an office with so many different backgrounds and ethnic groups. We don’t always agree on everything but each of us holds something very important and that is respect. Not in my entire life have I ever worked with so many people with so many differences. We get along better then anywhere I have ever worked in my life. I am so proud and love my people. We talk about our differences and why we do things a certain way. We don’t exclude or jump on someone when someone says something that might be considered offensive to someone else without meaning it in that way. We are learning about one another and growing in the process. Nobody comes in with an ego, attitude or past judgements. Do you not have enough going on in your lives that you need to keep spreading this fire of hate?! I know I do and I don’t need to be watching tv or looking on the intranet if it is just going to do more harm then good.
