While this show had a few humorous lines these lines were immediately discredited by the derogatory comments referencing Detroit. Had this marginal sit-com used Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, or Atlanta as its geographical location, would the less than creative writers chosen to make such comments.
Unfortunately for the greater part of our country Detroit is used as the butt of a bad joke.
What our country does not recognize is that Detroiters are HARD WORKING people.
Dedicated people and extremely GENEROUS people. Shamefully there are people in Detroit, just like there are in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Atlanta who are less than honorable,
But why does the entertainment industry believe that they can take the liberty to emphasis the negative about Detroit and never ever portray Detroit in even a remotely positive light?
Shame on these writers for attempting to recover their less than imaginative writing by sacrificing Detroit to carry their jokes.
Dozens of other top names in the entertainment industry would NEVER have agreed to utter these disparaging remarks at the expense of Detroit just to get a laugh track.
The D deserves far better than this.
Certainly this flop will not make it to mid-season.
