The droll, erratic, dialogues drown out the sophistication, and the impact this story should have had. The first hour of this movie could have easily been scrapped, saving unnessarily time lost in the sub plots of Oppenheimer's womanising ways which add very little to the narrative. I had no idea what was going on for most of the film and felt it tiresome to figure out whether or not sortyteller wanted us to love or hate Oppenheimer. Not Nolan's best, IMO. And not something I would spend 3 hours watching again.
