Ok, so let's get the negative review out of the way first. It could be tightened up a bit. The movie doesn't move along smoothly and it is a bit slow at first. Well... at the moment I cant think of anything else. So on to the positive. I really enjoyed this film! I typically do not appreciate foreign films that much especially those where closed caption is necessary to know what is being said! But despite the graphic war scenes (not to say the war scenes should be removed) this film was worth the watch. It was fun, funny, romantic, dramatic, adventurous and suspenseful. What I appreciated the most were the elements of inspiration; the strong helping the weak, using authority to serve not abuse, teamwork, sacrifice, freedom, courage in the face of an impossible task, wise leadership. The part of the film I found most powerful was the job given to the cook. Serve your enemies with water and destroy hate itself.
