Slow to start.
But eventually it gets into the storyline.
I find the story shows several societies, villages, cities, and royal families, but does not really explain things well and does not tie together their parts in the story.
They bring them into the picture, and then they are gone just as quick.
Almost as though they are useless fillers that have nothing to do with the storyline as it plays out.
The false dragon reborn plays a role, and then they bring him back into the story somewhat, only to write him back out, without even writing.
Although I understand it's fantasy.... The timeliness don't make any sense.
Most of the era appears to be midevil type time frame according to castles, military wardrobes, fighting methods, cities, etc.
Although much of the fashion, furniture, drinks, buildings, etc.... seem to be much more modern.
Even when they flashback 3000 years, they are still dressed in the same suits, garments, etc and are living in the same castles, with the same type of decor and furnishings.
So the technological advancements of several millenia are not apparent at all.
So many aspects of the story are only partially explained or touched on.
Like how the wolves play a part and how one of the five is related to the wolves.
Again, it touches on it, then ignores it altogether just as fast.
The Dark one never seems to die.
In the beginning the Dark one has an army of half human half animal beasts, and then into season 2 there suddenly gone altogether.
Nobody seems to die when they actually do, as they are always brought back to life by healing channeling.
Season 3 is somewhat better, but the first two seasons are full of inconsistencies, rabbit trail stories, and filler storylines.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
