Thou I wasn't born yet to experience " Top Gun" when it came out still got the chance to watch it when I was 16. Now 24 years old and after watching " Top Gun: Maverick " the hype and excitement I felt made me feel even a little of what it would have been like watching the original. I give this show the highest recommendation out there, even if you have never watched " Top Gun " you'll enjoy it.
